What’s the difference between near infrared and far infrared?Updated 2 years ago

Near infrared (NIR) light is in the part of the electromagnetic spectrum that provides heat and light therapy at the same time. The light penetrates deeply to help you heat up and sweat faster. It also works with your body’s natural light receptors to trigger a wide range of helpful processes.

Far infrared (FIR) light only provides heat therapy, but it can’t get past the water in your skin. It heats you up slower.

SaunaSpace uses a natural spectrum that includes mostly near infrared as well as some red and far infrared light. Learn more about how our technology works.
