What is the difference between near and far infrared light therapy?Updated a month ago
Near infrared (NIR) light is in the part of the electromagnetic spectrum that provides heat and light therapy at the same time. The light penetrates deeply to help you heat up and sweat faster. It also works with your body’s natural light receptors to trigger a wide range of helpful processes.
Far infrared (FIR) light only provides heat therapy, but it can’t get past the water in your skin. It heats you up slower.
SaunaSpace uses a natural spectrum that includes mostly near infrared as well as some red and far infrared light. Learn more about how our technology works.
Overall, the efficacy of a sauna will come down to its core technologies: the type of light and heat it employs, its ability to insulate heat, and how effectively it eliminates EMF (or blocks outside EMF). Please take a look at these articles as well (use the footnotes for further research):

Cellular Detoxification and Regeneration Through Incandescent Sauna Therapy
There are no chromophores for FIR; there are chromophores for NIR. This is why the heating and light therapy from the emission of the incandescent bulb gives you a better sum outcome than FIR, dry, steam, or any other modality will ever give! See these studies:
